Notes on the Wine

This Sparkler is adiant golden colour with fine bubbles aligned with a persistent crown. The aromatics are fresh with subtle scent of orange blossom exuded by Torrontés, together with fresh fruity notes such as green apple and pineapple stemming from Riesling. The wine opens dynamically, with minerals and medium volume, preserving freshness, and closes delicately acid. Fresh and elegant persistence.

Notes on the Producer

Amalaya is a modern, practical and functional winery, characterised with various soils and microclimates, located in Cafayate, Salta. At an altitude of 1,800 metres above sea level, it has a production capacity of around 1,930,000 litres in two lines; one for red wine in small concrete vessels and another for white wine in stainless steel tanks. The Total size is of 3,000 m², of which 7,000 m3 are refrigerated. It is equipped with a cooling chamber for the harvest, grape and cluster selection conveyor belts and the latest production technology arranged in a modern, practical and functional manner.

Amalaya has two vineyards: Las Mercedes and San Isidro. There are 107 hectares planted and a hundred more will be grown in the next years. The varieties grown include Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, Bonarda, Syrah, Torrontés and Riesling among others.

A modern interpretation of Cafayate wines with a distinct style, intense fruity expression, adequate acidity and great freshness in mouth.
Winemaking pursues the idea that each wine is born from the vineyard knowing that it will be part of a blend. In this way, structured wines are obtained with fruity and spicy intensity. These notes result from certain traditional actions performed on the vine, different harvesting points and premium vinification techniques and technologies.
Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, concrete vessels and barrels depending on the target wine.
