Notes on the Wine
This is what a good GV should taste like. Aromatic on the nose, a beautiful play of perfume, tropical fruit, and acidity. All the aromas follow through on the palate and then the wine has a dry clean finish with a touch of the white pepper. There is no other single-vineyard Grüner on the market that can beat this taste and price – best value!!! This is a great wine for vegetarian dishes and with any seafood.
Notes on the Producer
The imperial setting of the Vienna Hofburg was the scene of the Falstaff White Wine Gala. 150 top Austrian winemakers presented their best wines, over 1,800 guests tasted by the high-profile white wine variety. The highlight of the evening was the award of the Falstaff wine grower of the year. The most coveted award of the local wine scene this year goes to the Wagramer winemaker Anton Bauer.
Falstaff's chief editor Peter Moser justifies the decision of the editors with the consistent combination of tradition and experiment based on the highest quality awareness. So Farmer sat next to Wagramer classics such as Grüner and Roter Veltliner and Riesling early on red wines. A bold step, but today his Pinot Noir, his Cabernet Sauvignon and the exclusive Cuvée Legendary are among the best. And with his varietal and regional white wines, he plays in the same league.
When work and vocation meet, great things can happen. Anton Bauer proves this with every new vintage. He brings his respect for nature, the heritage, the tradition, in harmony with courage for new ideas, for the unconventional. The way is to constantly evolve, the goal, wines with unmistakable signature in perfection to produce.
