Notes on the Wine
A beautiful red with purple reflections. The nose is rich and complex, with notes of black fruits and prunes. The palate has a lot of freshness and silky tannins.
Notes on the Producer
Le Crampilh is the name of an isolated country house on a hill overlooking the Larcis stream in Aurions in the Pyrénées Atlantiques (64). In the late 1800s, Mélanie Crampilh married Sabin Oulié, our great great grandfather, who was mayor of the village. He operated the mill, the land and gave his wife's name to the Estate. After phylloxera, his son Lucien fell in love with the vines and developed winemaking at the Domaine. Then Alain and Paulette, my parents, gave all its development to the property between 1980 and 2000. Today, I am the 4th generation and we are committed to producing wines with respect for the terroir and the traditional good living of the South.
