Notes on the Producer
The Val de Loire also known as Valley of the Kings or Jardin de France (France’s backyard) is a region of great history recognized by the UNESCO for its arts, its Renaissance castles and of course its local wines. The Domaine du Vieil Orme which stands for old elm tree was created in 1804 in Saint Julien-de-Chédon, a tiny village located a few miles away from the famous Chenonceau castle. Today, Nicolas Benoist and his wife, Estelle, take meticulously care of the 45 acres estate by following sustainable agriculture methods.
