Notes on the Wine
This bottling takes a step up in concentration from the Stafford Hill cuvée, while retaining a comparable style. Pretty black raspberry and cherry fruit come in a well-balanced elegant frame, with medium length and body.
Notes on the Producer
As a grower and wine producer since 1999 in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, our handcrafted wines begin in the vineyards we own and farm. We emphasize low yields and careful hands-on management of the vines to produce wines that express the unique characteristics of our vineyard sites, including our older vines planted in the early 1970s.
Our wines are carefully made following Old World traditions. We don’t strive for maximum extraction and “big” flavors. We allow the unique characteristics of each vintage and each vineyard to shine through, emphasizing the purity of flavors. Bright acidity makes our wines ideal for pairing and complementing your meals.
We respect the needs of each vineyard; our sustainable farming is informed by organic and biodynamic methods. These vineyard practices encourage deeper roots, better ripening and give access to different mineral layers in the soils. Biodynamic farming encourages complexity with deeper mid-palate flavors.
