Notes on the Wine
100% Albariño. This Albariño shows the characteristic vibrant aromatics and flavors of citrus and white peach complemented by floral notes and the minerality that’s reminiscent of the sea. Fermented in stainless steel and aged 3 months on its fine lees, this Albariño has a great aromatic intensity and refreshing acidity.
Notes on the Producer
Lagar da Condesa is the project owned by the Gil Family in DO Rías Baixas, in the Val do Salnés region. The winery is located in Arcos da Condesa, with a great winery tradition, in the municipality of Caldas de Reis. The winery, built in granite, as the typical Pazos from Galicia, and surrounded by vineyards, has very modern technology. Their winemaking techniques are aimed at extracting the best qualities of the grape. Harvesting and processing is manual combining the traditional method with the latest technology. The first vintage was 2013 and the technical direction is managed by David Landin.
A southwest orientation allows optimum ripening and ventilation of the grapes. The sandy and granitic soils permit perfect water drainage coming from the frequent rains in the area. These conditions grow the perfect grapes for the wines produced by Lagar da Condesa.
