Notes on the Producer
Vino Gross stands for typical regional grape varieties and distinguishes between two wine styles: those defined by terroir and those defined by maturation.
We rely on traditional, natural methods. The wines ferment spontaneously – without the aid of artificial yeast – and mature over a long period in wooden barrels. We place great importance on bottling unfiltered wines with no finings added.
Michael and Maria Gross are the heart and soul of Vino Gross.
“Over ten years ago we moved to Gorca to get to know the region, its people and its wines better. Slowly but surely, the unbelievable potential of this wine-growing region opened up for us. We gathered up all our courage, founded VINO GROSS and have since proven that it is possible to produce wines of the highest quality here. Sharing this challenging task with someone is one of the most wonderful aspects of the family business.”
