Notes on the Wine
The northwest-facing vineyard brings a balance of sun and shade to produce grapes with fresh acidity and bright fruity flavors, while sandy clay soils provide weight and roundness. Dark fruit aromas and flavors of blueberries, blackberries, and floral notes are supported by medium weight on the palate.
Notes on the Producer
One sister. One brother. We both grew up in Chassagne-Montrachet in the heart of the Côte d'Or vineyards; we decided to take over as a family an old vineyard on the hills of Mont Brouilly with one dream: give a voice to this unique granite terroir. Our vines are more than 50 years old and give wine classified as AOP (Protected Origin) Brouilly, then Côte de Brouilly uphill on the western side of this ancient volcano.
The vines tell very accurately, with their restricted yields, the story of their terroir and their localisations at different height above the sea. This naturally gave birth to 3 different cuvees: A.O.C. CÔTE DE BROUILLY « PIERRE BLEUE A.O.C. CÔTE DE BROUILLY « LES JUMEAUX A.O.C. BROUILLY We run our domain with sustainable viniculture process, and we make sure that any operation on the vine is done by hand from pruning to harvesting grapes.
