Notes on the Producer
Located in the town of Aghione, on the Costa Serena (east coast of the island), the Vetriccie estate represents 300 acres of vineyards ideally planted between mountain and sea in the heart of the appellation AOP Vin de Corse. Vetriccie translates into wicker, a plant that grows abundantly near the vineyards of Corsica. In 1966, the Barcelo family purchased the estate and Daniel Barcelo, after several winemaking experiences in the new world took over from his dad Patrick. Daniel believes in protecting the natural beauty of the island and therefore is fully committed to sustainable farming.
