Notes on the Wine
This red has flavors of dense fruit with a great balance that doesn't come off as too heavy. A bright and fruity tang.
Notes on the Producer
Maxime-François Laurent started his small wine-merchant business in 2006, in parallel with the domaine activity. His business consists in a partnership with a local winemaker whose vineyard spreads on circa 6 hectares located around the villages of Montbrison sur Lez and Valréas. The parcels and the works in the vineyard are carried out throughout the year, and the whole vineyard is cultivated whitout chemistry in the respect of the living. The vineyard lies on clay-limestone soils and its location give the wines definitely fruity and solar flavours.
Of course, the picking is exclusively manual and put in crates, clusters are sorted in the vineyard.
Maxime does vinify all the wines issued under his label (we only buy fresh clusters, not finished wines). We vinify in the most natural way: no addition of sulfites upon vating, fermentation only with natural yeasts, no fining, no filtration, only little sulfiting after malolactic fermentation (2g/hl).
