Notes on the Wine
"Village" is an elegant red blend produced from our vineyards in the Northern Mediterranean mountains of Batroun, Lebanon. The grapes have been carefully handpicked and fermented in temperature controlled tanks to preserve their natural freshness and character. This wine has a soft fruity nose with dominant notes of mature black berries and a mouth feel that is slightly tannic and medium bodied. The finish is soft and elegant.
Notes on the Producer
This boutique winery is located in the esteemed village of Rachkidde, North Lebanon. Since its establishment in the early 2000s the family has been growing and harvesting its own vines from its 3 hectar land. At an altitude of 850m, the Aurora vineyards are surrounded by hills of olive and pine trees, and overlooking the walnut river and the Mediterranean Sea As a family winery, the Gearas have been growing vines for generations, but only until 2004, did they begin this wine journey. We believe in creating great wine combinations that grow best in our estate. We produce wines that embody and express the terroir and microclimate of every vineyard we plant. Using modern and ecofriendly techniques, our vines are carefully handpicked and express every characteristic of the grape variety.
