Notes on the Producer
Castellani was established in 1945 when its founder, Michele Castellani, decided to build a small cellar where he spent his time creating and improving high-quality products. Michele initially sold his wines to more famous Valpolicella Classico producers, until in the early 1990s his son Sergio decided to expand operations and start bottling under the Castellani name. Sergio personally oversees the selection, harvest, and drying of the grapes. He is also in charge of the vinification and aging of these great Valpolicella wines. Sergio is supported at the winery by daughters Mara and Martina and son Michele. Castellani offers two lines of estate-bottled, world-class products:
