Notes on the Wine
Painted Fields Curse of Knowledge is our first ever Bordeaux-style red blend, made in partnership with Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky. It is a powerhouse that effortlessly releases red and blue fruit into a stream of violets and mountain brush. Fine acidity leans into an inner meatiness that keeps it as fresh as it is bold and complex. Floral and fruit aromatics persist through the finish.

Our focus: seeking out the best vineyards in the Sierra Foothills to craft wines with balance, character, complexity, and varietal correctness. Andis Wines is a 22,000 square foot state of the art winemaking facility designed under two tenets: 1) Design a winery that can make great wine, and 2) Make it pretty. Andy and Janis worked hand-in-hand with Sage Architecture for well over a year to come to a design that would achieve that goal.
