Notes on the Wine
All the fruit for Pike Road Pinot Gris is hand-picked and gently pressed. The juice is then cold fermented in small stainless steel tanks to preserve its delicate aromatics, and finished with a screw-cap so that it tastes as fresh as the day it was bottled.
Notes on the Producer
Pike Road is the sister brand to Elk Cove Vineyards founded by Pat and Joe Campbell in 1974. Pike Road offers unbeatable value in Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Pike Road debuts with two wines from the Willamette Valley appellation: French oak barrel-aged Pinot Noir and stainless steel fermented Pinot Gris. The fruit is hand-picked and the wine is made from estate grown grapes and smaller lots of fruit grown by longtime, trusted growers in the Willamette Valley, such as Shea, Fairsing and Olenik.
