Notes on the Wine
Ageing in barrels gives this wine, which bears the name of our great-grandfather, a great deal of character and personality. Subtle blend of the very ripe Sauvignon grape aromas and vanilla. This a lovely complex wine with smoothness and unctuosity on the palate.
Notes on the Producer
For more than four centuries, Sancerre Roger Neveu has rich histories of winery craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation. Roger, who was Eric's and Jean-Philippe's father, seize the opportunity of the rapid development of a series of technology, growth and trade dynamics in the postwar economic miracle and was determined to produce a wine which reflects his own personality.
Now Eric and Jean-Philippe transmit the traditions and values of a family-owned winery to their respective sons, Baptiste and Florent : constant, sustainable and careful soil management and the idea of turning their passion for making wines into a bona fide experience for wine lovers. In the future, their mission will be to perpetuate everything that they live for : a wine with spirit, talent and an evident focus on excellence in winemaking.
