Notes on the Wine
An estate wine. A nice, off-dry blend of Cayuga and Seyval. The Caguya gives this wine a dry riesling-like flavor. Enjoy with appetizers, cheese, spicier foods and several friends.
Notes on the Producer
Snow Farm Vineyard is the oldest commercial vineyard in Vermont. It was started in 1997 with land purchased from the neighboring Lane dairy farm. Patrick Barrelet planted French Hybrid grapes as well as Minnesota Varieties that would benefit from the special climate in the Lake Champlain Valley. He is the current wine maker and vineyard manager. In 2012, the Lane family purchased Snow Farm Vineyard and continues to produce wine made with 95 % of grapes grown on the farm.
