Notes on the Wine
Laderas de Teno is our first, single vineyard wine, made with four native grape varieties grown in the rugged, El Palmar Valley. 700m above sea level and hidden away from the rest of the island, this remote location is responsible for some of our most treasured vineyards, including Laderas de Teno. Cooled by both the altitude and the exposure to the northern Trade Winds, this wine is a true expression of place.
Tintilla, Vijariego Negro, Baboso Negro and Bastardo come together in a single barrel to produce a wine of class and elegance. Ripe red berries, tobacco, pomegranate, violets and the incredible, smoky scent of our volcanic soils. A wine to be paired with good company and the time to enjoy it to the fullest.
The wines of Tenerife are known for their distinct personality due to the existeneot of unique varieties made from un-grafted, pre-phylloxera vines that are planted in volcanic soils and influenced by the persistent "Alisios" trade winds from the Atlantic. This is a land of "heroic viticulture"
