Notes on the Wine
Pale pink salmon in color. The aroma is full of fresh gooseberries, hints of cut grass and some floral notes. The mouthfeel is well balanced between the lively crisp acidity and the fruity sweetness. There are lovely hints of raspberries and fresh unripe Deaches. The Verjus has a long playful finish with some fresh berry character and showing fine acidity and minerality.
Notes on the Producer
Winemaking is at the heart of all we do at Wölffer. The process begins in the vines, where Vineyard Manager Richie Pisacano meticulously manages our 55 pristine acres of estate vines. We grow Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and small lots of Trebbiano, Pinot Noir and Vignole. We use sustainable farming practices and are proud to have been certified for the 6th year in a row as one of the few vineyards recognized by Long Island Sustainable Winegrowing. We carry this philosophy across each of our owned or operated properties.
