Notes on the Wine
Pale gold with pronounced yellow highlights. The lovely, clean aroma exhibits depth and fruit maturity, suggesting ripe pear, star fruit and lemon. The taste is immediately rich and fat for Sancerre, with above-average weight, framed by a backbone of ripe acidity. The finish possesses attractive complexity, with intriguing dusty and herbal notes, and a long aromatic signature.
Notes on the Producer
Blessed by nature, Sancerre is a flagship Loire appellation and a world Sauvignon Blanc benchmark. Sancerre is also a picturesque medieval village perched on a hilltop overlooking the Loire river. Thanks to their unique terroirs, the Sancerre wines are now renowned and sought-after worldwide. Domaine Fournier Père et Fils was a first-hand witness of the creation of the appellation in 1936 and is now one of its most active ambassadors and torchbearers.
