Notes on the Wine
This gorgeous, high toned Pinot reveals its Pommard clonal heritage and coastal woodland location through a combination of focused dark bing cherry notes and fine grained tannins. Medium bodied and built to age, it also features woodsy and underbrush aromas and flavors with exposure to air, it is reminiscent of its Burgundian brethren.
Notes on the Producer
The Withers is a new project focusing on high elevation, cool climate sites that yield exceptional, nuanced and balanced red and rose wines drawing from Rhone varietals grown in the Sierra Foothills and Mendocino County, as well as Pinot Noir grown in the Anderson and Green Valleys and the Sonoma Coast.
