Notes on the Wine
Classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of blackberry, cassis, black currant, and dried violets shine with cocoa, toasted coconut, vanilla and baking spices in a supporting role. On the palate, the wine is rich abd nicely balanced with a silky mouthfeel and soft tannins, and flavors of sweet blackberry, black pepper, and aromatic cedar. A lingering, spicy finish with flavors of blackberry, blueberry and cassis round out the wine.
Notes on the Producer
Experience Wines is the dream of Catherine and Travis Vale. Travis was born and raised in the Russian River Valley of California’s Sonoma Coast. He first worked a harvest in 1998, falling in love with the sights and sounds of a working winery. Catherine was born and raised in London and is the daughter of a master brewer.
mmediately drawn to each other, they married in 2004 and moved to Napa Valley. Travis worked at a family-owned winery while Catherine accepted a position in Napa with drinks giant Diageo Chateau and Estate Wines. After years of hard work, they purchased and now live on a 14-acre estate located on Silverado Trail in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. The estate currently has 8-acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot.
Founded in 2010 Experience Wines focuses exclusively on producing affordable wines with the Napa Valley pedigree, sourcing grapes from the Vale Vineyard, as well as vineyards in the Oak Knoll District, Rutherford, and Atlas Peak appellations of Napa Valley.
Catherine and Travis’s business is truly a family affair with everyone pitching in when needed, including their 3 school-aged daughters. The family’s core belief is to enjoy the journey and not focus on the destination. Life is a series of incredible opportunities to embrace, explore and experience.
