Region: France - Loire Valley - Sancerre
Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc
Alcohol: 13%
Notes on the Wine
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from 25 year old vines planted on chalky-clay and flint soil. The wine is mineral driven with citurs and whte fruit flavors supported by acidity. This is a pretty classic Sancerre that is easy to love.
Notes on the Producer
Welcome to Domaine Roland Tissier and Sons, based in Sancerre in the Cher (18). Winegrowers for 3 generations, the family Tissier grows vines over 11 hectares, of which 80% are Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Pinot Noir. In 1972, Roland Tissier took over the vines from his father and his father-in-law to make only one farm. After working several years with their father, Rodolphe and Florent took over the head of the vineyard.
